Take a good look at this 2007 Godin LGXT, because chances are you'll never see it again unless you win this auction. There are exactly three of these guitars in existence. Why? Well, that's another story with a bit of mystery, drama, and intrigue. But first lets talk about this incredible guitar. If you are unfamiliar with Godin Guitars that is your loss because they simply build some of the finest instruments on the planet. They are hand-made in Canada and assembled in the United States at Godin's New Hampshire facility.

In the case of the LGXT, Godin has crafted the most sonically versatile solid body guitar you can find. Equipped with magnetic, piezo, and synth pickups on each string, the LGXT can produce an amazing soundscape. Thanks to its pair of custom Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups, its electric tones are top-notch, while the on-board piezo pickup lets you blend in shimmering acoustic sounds. To top it off, the synth pickups route through a standard 13-pin output. When coupled with a guitar synthesizer like the Roland GR Series the LGXT's sonic possibilities are limitless. For even more expressive playing, the LGXT features a smooth and exceptionally stable tremolo bridge.

Godin created the LGXT from the ground up to deliver superior sonic performance from all of its sound sources. They started with selected woods. The LGXT's mahogany neck is slim, fast and comfortable, and it's topped with an exquisite ebony fingerboard with understated inlays.

Since the early 1970s, Robert Godin has been crafting quality instruments loaded with innovations. You'll love the clean lines, exceptionally comfortable playing feel, and exquisite tone you get from a Godin guitar. You get it all: classic craftsmanship, modern features, and amazing tonality!

That's enough hard-sell, lets move on to why this particular guitar is so special...

The first thing you'll notice is the gold metallic finish, this is a custom color and does not appear on any other 2007 LGXT's. Why? Because this is an "artist's prototype" guitar. Only three of these special guitars were made for a Godin-endorsed artist. Some of the guitars Godin makes for a endorsed artist are personally inspected and signed by Robert Godin. That is the case with this guitar. Mr. Godin has signed and dated the rear of the headstock of this LGXT. Who that artist is (or was) remains a mystery because the folks at Godin never intended for this guitar to reach the general pubic and are not too happy that it did. I have the documentation from Godin confirming this story and that the signature is authentic.

You'll see in the pictures below that this guitar is in mint condition. It plays incredibly well and sounds fantastic. I route the synth output through a Roland GR20, and its tracking performance is excellent. This guitar has been in my home studio, smoke-free, and never gigged. It looks brand new. Even the protective film is still on all of the back cavity covers!

I do NOT have the original Godin case or gig bag for this guitar. It will ship in a generic gig bag and I will double box it for protection. The shipment will be sent via UPS Ground and it will be fully insured. A signature will be required for delivery. Shipping will be FREE to the continental U.S.

Given the rarity and condition of this guitar, my starting bid is low and I have NOT set a reserve on it. I'm hopeful there will be some serious Godin fans out there that will want to bid this up. I hate to part with it, but financial times are tough and I honestly don't use it enough to justify hanging on to it.
